Job Title: General Laborer        Department: Construction          Reports to: Crew Foreman          Effective Date: August 18, 2025

Pay Rate $15-$24 

This position is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. Actual hourly pay is determined by the applicable Davis-Bacon Wage Determination for the assigned project.  Project assignment is based on operational needs. Wage rates may change if project assignment changes or if updated wage determinations apply.

The General Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the highway, roads, and excavating industry. This includes site preparation, material handling, equipment operation assistance, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in outdoor conditions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with site preparation and cleanup.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment.
  • Operate hand and power tools as directed.
  • Support equipment operators and other skilled laborers.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery used in the construction and maintenance of highways, roads, and excavation projects. This role requires precision, safety awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment. The operator ensures that equipment is used efficiently and maintained properly.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operates heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, and loaders in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Performs routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Reads and interprets construction plans and grade stakes to execute excavation and grading tasks.
  • Coordinates with site supervisors and other crew members to complete tasks according to project timelines.
  • Maintains accurate logs of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
  • Adheres to safety protocols and environmental regulations at all times.
  • Assists with site preparation and cleanup as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required skills/abilities:

  • Proficient in operating various types of heavy construction equipment.

Pay:  $20.00 – $29.95  This position is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. Actual hourly pay is determined by the applicable Davis-Bacon Wage Determination for the assigned project. Project assignment is based on operational needs. Wage rates may change if project assignment changes or if updated wage determinations apply.

The Construction Site Driver is responsible for operating both water trucks and dump trucks to support construction activities such as dust control, soil compaction, and hauling materials. This role requires a valid CDL Class A license and adherence to safety and environmental regulations. The driver must ensure proper loading/unloading of materials, maintain vehicle condition, and coordinate with site personnel to meet project needs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operates water truck to distribute water on roads, excavation sites, and other designated areas.
  • Maintains proper moisture levels for soil compaction and dust control.
  • Operates dump truck to haul and transport materials such as soil, gravel, and debris to and from construction sites.
  • Ensures proper loading and unloading of materials to avoid spillage and damage.
  • Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of both water and dump trucks.
  • Ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinates with site supervisors and other equipment operators to meet project needs.
  • Maintains accurate logs of water usage, material loads, and truck maintenance.
  • Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of both water and dump trucks.
  • Assists with general labor tasks as needed on the construction site.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Pay: $23.00 – $28.00 (Dependent on Qualifications)

The Trucking & Heavy Equipment Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy diesel trucks and heavy construction equipment. This role ensures all machinery operates safely and efficiently to support excavation, paving, concrete, and utility projects. The position requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems on trucks and heavy equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of moving parts.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair methods.
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Operate diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems.
  • Order and install replacement parts as needed.
  • Work independently and manage time effectively to complete repairs promptly.
  • Assist with emergency repairs and field service calls as required.
  • Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and safe.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required skills/Abilities:

Job Title: Concrete Mixer Driver     Department: Concrete     Reports to: Concrete Super      Effective Date: January 14, 2026

Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 (Dependent on Qualifications)

The Concrete Mixer Driver is responsible for safely operating a concrete mixer truck to deliver ready-mix concrete to job sites. Duties include vehicle inspection, mixing and discharging concrete, maintaining truck cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. The role requires effective communication with dispatch and customers and the ability to navigate and position the truck safely on job sites.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Follows all company policies, safety policies, and complies with MSHA/OSHA regulations.
  • Conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the mixer truck and reports any issues.
  • Operates mixer controls to mix and discharge concrete according to specifications.
  • Communicates effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery details.
  • Maintains cleanliness of vehicle and ensures it is free of debris.
  • Assists with minor maintenance and reports mechanical problems promptly.
  • Maintains professionalism with dispatchers, safety department, other motorists, co-workers, law enforcement, and customers.
  • Adheres to all applicable rules and regulations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to work safely.
  • Knowledge of concrete properties and ability to make slump adjustments.
  • Working knowledge of MSHA/OSHA/DOT/Local/County/State and Federal requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to follow specific supervisory instructions.
